Additives for reduced level of hexavalent chromium in cement

Description

BATIMIX CR Series products represent a new generation of hexavalent chromium reducing agents. These products are used in the manufacture of Portland and masonry types of cement. The incorporation of such liquid additives at the right dosage and under the right conditions in the cement manufacturing process reduces the level of hexavalent chromium below 2 ppm for a minimum period of 3 months, without it affecting either the rheological or mechanical performance of both mortars and concrete. These additives can be supplied, upon request, in powder form.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX CR Series products are particularly recommended for the grinding of:

  • Masonry and mortar cement
  • Portland and blended cement
  • White or gray cement

Features

BATIMIX CR Series products have the following characteristics:

  • Reduced level of chromium (VI) content below 2 ppm, so that the cement produced meets the requirements of the European directive 2003/53/CE
  • Cement treated with this product maintains the level of chromium (VI) below 2 ppm for a minimum period of 3 months
  • Minimized risks of allergic dermatitis when peoples’ skin comes in contact with wet cement
  • Does not affect the rheological or mechanical performance of cement
  • Can be supplied in powder or liquid forms
  • Easy and safe handling
