Description

BATIMIX Masonry Binder 40 is a hydraulic binder with enhanced properties, particularly suitable for plastering applications in masonry construction. It is composed of Type I Portland cement, fillers, and a combination of selected chemical additives such as plasticizing/water-reducing, air-entraining, shrinkage-compensating, and water-repellent agents.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX Masonry Binder 40 is used to produce mortars for plastering interior and exterior elements. It yields plastering mortars with a surface that is free of cracks and has low water-permeability. The product incorporates shrinkage-compensating and water-repelling agents. It is also used for preparing mortars for the assembling of masonry units and the application of spatter-dash slurries.

Mortars prepared with BATIMIX Masonry Binder 40 are ideal for masonry works. They yield improved plastic and hardened construction characteristics, which include the following:

• Strong bond between the substrate and applied mortar,
• Low volume changes from drying shrinkage and sulfate expansion
• Increased coverage ratios, mainly due to the lower product’s density
