Batimix MWR Series

Mid-range plasticizers for concrete

Description

BATIMIX MWR Series products are high-performance liquid mid-range water-reducing admixtures for concrete. They are based on high-grade naphthalene sulphonates, lignosulphonates, and carefully selected chemicals.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX MWR Series products significantly improve the workability of concrete and effectively reduce free water content. They powerfully disperse the fine cementitious particles in concrete mixes by electrostatic repulsion and adsorption.

As a result of this de-flocculation, higher than normal concrete strength grades are achieved with reduced cement contents and increased workability. Applications include all types of concrete castings such as plain, self-consolidating, reinforced, precast, ready-mixed, lightweight, pumped concrete, and shotcrete.

Features

Concrete prepared with BATIMIX MWR Series products is characterized by the following:

In the plastic state:

  • Improved workability without adding extra water
  • Reduced water content up to 35% with minimum secondary effects
  • Increased homogeneity with minimum segregation and bleeding
  • Normal setting characteristics under cool conditions

In the hardened state:

  • Increased strengths – compressive, flexural, and bonding
  • Reduced shrinkage, creep, and water permeability
  • Enhanced concrete durability and surface appearance
