Holderchem specialists provide comprehensive and optimized sprayed concrete solutions, combining cutting-edge sprayed concrete technology, to materials handling knowledge. Solutions allow for good adhesion and application on uneven substrates and for flexibility with regard to layer thickness. Concreting can be performed without formwork and at any height because of the sprayed concrete’s strong adhesion power. Adding polypropylene fibers and steel fibers to the shotcrete mix, in the correct proportions, yields reinforced concrete suitable for structural applications.

Sprayed concrete is used for concrete repair, restoration of historical buildings, lightweight bearing structures, swimming pools, trench and excavation stabilization, rock and soil stabilization, sealing works, tunneling, and mining. Holderchem Products, which are offered for shotcrete applications, include the following:

  • Accelerating admixtures.
  • Flow enhancing admixtures, for better workability, durability, and concrete strength.
  • Hydration stabilizers for more placing flexibility.
  • Pumping aids.
  • Colloidal silica additives to improve the concrete mix cohesion;
  • Steel or synthetic fibers to produce reinforced shotcrete.
  • Coloring admixtures.
  • Pozzolanic admixtures including silica fume to improve the durability and adhesion of the mix and minimize particle rebound.
  • Accelerated sprayed mortar and concrete mixes meeting various ASTM standard classifications.
